Responsible to the IMP CP140 Aurora OWSS Deputy Program Manager via the Lead Asset Manager, for performing asset management activity in support of the aircraft structure and interior Furnishings including the provision of technical information and analysis, monitoring performance and maintenance requirements for the CP140 aircraft.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

* Respond to inquiries from CP140 bases, and CP140 weapon system manager’s (WSM) staff by providing direct assistance or redirecting a request for assistance to the appropriate department within IMP within a performance-based contract framework.

* Maintain a thorough knowledge of CP140 CFTOs.

* Prepare, and track the completion of change documents (DND AF9000) associated with material modifications or technical changes for CP140 components under assigned management.

* As required prepare and review design change proposals, special inspections, publication work packages, information leaflets, Statements of Work (SOW).

* Ensure recommendations impacting airworthiness and flight safety issues are coordinated with both DND and IMP Senior Design Engineers as appropriate.

* Monitor High Priority Requests and take appropriate action to prevent or minimize HPR reoccurrence in both the short and long term.

* Examine and coordinate the optimization of component Life Cycle Costing (LCC) based upon customer requirements and inputs from LSA Engineering and IMP Materiel.

* Manage the implementation of LSA and Engineering report recommendations with the aim of rectifying “worst offenders” or problematic CP140 aircraft components, systems and test equipment.

* For parts managed by other fleets on behalf of the CP140, interact with other fleet LCMMs, Supply Managers and Asset Managers to ensure that the requirements of the CP140 are met.

* Navigate IMP databases as required.

* Prepare and/or assist with the preparation of briefings to DND at NDHQ and IMP Management as required;

* Prepare for and attend the CP140/P-3 International Operators Support Conference (IOSC).

* Participate in training and personnel development activities.

* Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

* Minimum of 8 years of aircraft systems maintenance or maintenance support experience (post apprentice training).

* Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with a TCCA license or DND experience as an aircraft certification or release authority (ARA) would be considered an asset

* Three years or more of experience in DND aircraft engineering administration or project management would be an asset

* Training in Logistics Support, Reliability Centered Maintenance and/or physical asset management is an asset

* A working knowledge of the CF Supply System, SAP, or JDE would be an asset

* Strong organizational and communication skills

* A comprehensive knowledge of military or civilian aircraft heavy maintenance, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the operational and depot level maintenance activities for aircraft structural maintenance and interior furnishings.

* Good technical writing skills, the ability to read and interpret aircraft technical orders and drawings.

* Ability to use computers and MS Office software with particular abilities in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and use of Access.

* Be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and obtain Canadian Government Security Clearances.

* Be able to demonstrate a personal commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies.

* A demonstrated awareness or participation in Continuous Improvement, Lean & 8S activities.
