Role Purpose:

The role based in the Dublin office, will report directly into the ARI Executive and will develop and execute the overall global marketing strategy.

It will have overall responsibility for delivering the marketing creative and key brand and product messages globally for the company. It will develop and execute global marketing strategies, drive digital marketing and retail innovation and own brand concepts. The role will be accountable for the effective leadership of the global consumer marketing team, coaching and driving the team to meet business objectives effectively.

ARI require the role holder to be able to build strong teams, to work collaboratively across functions, influence senior and cross function stakeholders and be a strong problem solver.

Qualifications

Essential

* Demonstrates a strong track record of Retail marketing, managing teams
* eCommerce and digital marketing experience
* A minimum of 7 -10 years marketing experience
* An analytic, strategic thinker who is self-confident, flexible
* A clear decision maker who is a driven and dynamic leader
* Proven experience managing teams, influencing direct reports and managing cross-functional / global stakeholders
* Data drive, uses consumer insights to develop effective marketing programmes and campaigns
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
* Commercial, analytical, and innovative, with an ability to spot original branding opportunities
* Builds strong relationships, establishes rapport and credibility with key stakeholders
* Bachelors or master’s degree in Marketing or similar discipline preferred/or relevant work experience

Preferred

* Strong experience in Travel Retail / FMCG or Retail industries preferably

Responsibilities

* Creates and executes strategic marketing plans to develop awareness for ARI as a leading Global Travel Retailer and direct the marketing efforts of the global business units
* Delivers multi-year global customer and category strategies and plans to increase and maximise revenue growth
* Develops traditional and new digitally focused marketing strategies, supporting pre-travel communication and developing partnerships to enhance and increase Passenger Average Spend (PAS)
* Drives PAS through marketing partnerships, travel trade programmes including digital social and public relations
* Generates bold and innovative ideas for growth and managing in store promotion/campaigns, POS, outbound marketing and communications and analysing customer data and solving problems
* Shapes the marketing mindset, brand value proposition and brand story development for ARI, ensuring full engagement with global brands to obtain funding for companywide events/campaigns
* Responsible for ensuring consistent tone of messaging across all communications/distribution channels, such as eCommerce, Social Media, Digital and Instore
* Represents ARI at trade shows, promotes, new business tenders internationally
* Works with the Executive team and local Business Units to develop and deliver Customer Revenue growth models to key markets
* Leads customer strategy development in key markets and facilitate workshops with local market teams to translate insights to action plans. Delivers customer segmentation and models to all key markets.
* Delivers multi market customer and market research models and customer segmentation to step change consumer and shopper knowledge in all markets
* Drives consumer and shopper research, market intelligence and consumer insights from international markets where required, to ensure the company’s branded value propositions are tailored around specific customer needs.
* Delivers insights, strategy, marketing plans, bid collation and pre-marketing materials that drive new business development.
* Develops B2C best practice global marketing programmes and develop and deliver B2B marketing strategy and plans to protect and promote ARI reputation with in external stakeholders (trade press, speaking engagements, ARI.ie, pre-marketing materials)
* Assesses and drives campaigns by delivering results in accordance to agreed KPI’s
* Oversee the annual marketing budget. Tacks and adjusts budget priorities as needed throughout the year to optimize ROI
* Provides leadership, motivation and ongoing coaching within the marketing function to cultivate a successful, agile and effective global team
