APS-3: MSSA SCA Supply TechnicianDeployable - 1078396

This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g. inventory management, storage management, cataloging and property utilization) related to depot, local or other supply activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity or responsibility. Assignment usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variation in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems (AWRDS and LMP), programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.

This position is a Deployable Position:

Must meet deployment qualifications and maintain deployable status

Upon notification from the government, deploys to support issuing or receipt of equipment

Must be capable to deploy to a contingency theater of operations as determined by the US Government within five days of notice

Must be capable of getting a minimum of a SECRET security clearance

Must meet government specified requirements to be deployable: including annual health screenings, training requirements, and passport

Responsibilities of the Position:

*

Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with storage, shipping, and receiving equipment.

*

Performs day-to-day, routine tasks IAW the PWS and all related Army Regulations.

*

Can handle unusual non-routine Material Management tasks or issues.

*

Receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.

*

May direct and coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in wholesale assets.

*

Will be responsible of training other employees.

*

All duties typically involve the following (but not limited to):

*

Assisting in MOTSU Mission

*

Able to conduct various inventories, to include Sensitive Item Weapon Inventory and CCI Inventory

*

IUID

*

Requesting, Printing, and Updating statuses for MROs

*

Stratifying WRSI Stock based on provided requirements list

*

Able to use various functions in AWRDS and LMP to create, track, and update reports

*

Assist in Downloads/Uploads of Ship in various capacities

*

Able to navigate and understand relationship between LMP and AWRDS in order to conduct various tasks

*

Able to submit help desk tickets through various programs and websites

*

Able to assist with any wholesale item at any point of it’s process

*

Able to conduct causative research

*

Able to create and Inventory Adjustment Report Packet

*

Able to assist in maintaining the Shelf Life Program in Wholesale.

*

Able to Track document numbers for Receiving

*

Able to research all issues

*

Any other duties assigned

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

*

Standing - between 2 to 3 hours per day

*

Walking - between 4 to 5 hours per day

*

Lifting - up to 35 lbs. periodically

*

Squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching and climbing - periodically

*

Work outside and inside in non-climate controlled environments.

*

Gain and Maintain deployable status

Experience and Education:

*

High school diploma or equivalent.

*

Knowledge and experience working with Safety Data Sheets.

*

Must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.

*

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

*

5 years’ experience in contracting for relevant/ related positions
