Summary

The AOG Site Supervisor is the main point of contact for all aircraft maintenance activities occurring out of John Wayne Airport (KSNA). This position is responsible for performing, assisting, managing and advising on all maintenance activities on the airfield. These activities must be done while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with ACI Jet’s employees, vendors and clients by personally performing these duties or through subordinate staff members.

Reports To

The AOG Site Supervisor - KSNA reports directly to the AOG Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management):

  • Reports daily to the AOG Manager.
  • Maintains a close, productive, and beneficial relationship with ACI Jet managers, peers, colleagues, manufacturer’s representatives, repair facilities, and the FAA.
  • Ensures the safety and quality of all assigned duties and responsibilities by actively and positively participating in ACI Jet’s SQMS program.
  • Completing tasks assigned to himself / herself in accordance with the procedures set forth in ACI Jet’s Air Carrier Operations Manual (ACOM).
  • Responsible for the supervision and direct oversight of the assigned facility and employees.
  • Responsible for shift scheduling, training, duty times, time off approvals and ensuring each AOG Technician is following established policies and procedures.
  • Monitor daily activities for AOG customers, anticipate demand and schedule AOG Technicians as appropriate to provide adequate coverage.
  • Coordinate with the AOG Manager and ACI Jet customers to ensure a safe and efficient repair and return to service of AOG aircraft. 
  • Comply with all FAR’s, Operations Specifications, Company Policies, and Company Procedures.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate technical data is available during the performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration activities.
  • Ensure all required tooling is available and in good working order, including calibration requirements.
  • Ensures stocked parts are kept in a manner consistent with ACI Jet’s RSQCM.
  • Ensures the shop premises, AOG vehicles and work areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Ensures that all AOG employees follow airport, TSA and DOT requirements for operating a motor vehicle.
  • Ensure that all maintenance or alterations processes are appropriately completed and documented as required by the operator and in accordance with the applicable FAR’s.
  • Submits all required work orders, reports, receipts, time cards and other company forms and records to the appropriate company authority in a timely and organized manner.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Required

  • A passion for aviation.
  • 10 years of experience as an A&P mechanic
  • Multiple corporate aircraft type experience (including: Citation, Challenger, Gulfstream, Phenom, Global, Hawker, Falcon, Lear, etc.)
  • Actual work experience must include troubleshooting, use of specialized tools, ground support equipment, and the use of aircraft maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, technical reports and forms.
  • Experience managing two or more line maintenance technicians
  • Experience working with fractional ownership operators (NetJets, Flight Options, FlexJet, XO Jet, Delta Private Jet, etc.)
  • Professional appearance
  • Troubleshooting skills and an ability to problem solve
  • Critical time management and logistical problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality of work
  • On call and after hours support is required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid A&P License.
  • Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high stress, fast paced environment.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance.
  • Must be a highly motivated, detail oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be computer proficient (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance Software).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, kneel, squat, and stand for extended periods.
  • Must have your own tools and toolbox.
  • Must be available to be on call.
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to read, write, and speak English at an advanced level.
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

 Highly Desirable

  • Formal Gulfstream, Cessna, Dassault, Beechcraft and Bombardier factory training
  • College or Technical degree preferred

This position is a DOT Safety Sensitive position which will require placement in a random drug test pool.
