About The Job

​This job is a member of the Revenue Management Team within the Revenue Management Division. ​Responsible for driving improvements in revenue management systems by building forecast and optimization engines that are responsible for creating pricing outcomes for all flights in the American Airlines network.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

* Implements prototype solutions using programming languages such as Python and Java, statistical tools like SAS and R, as well as business insights

* Develops a solid understanding of core airline economics and be well positioned for potential advancement

* Works with various commerial groups to creatively solve company business problems

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

* BS, MS, MBA, or PhD in Operations Research, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related field

* Experience solving large-scale problems and familiarity with the airline industry are a plus

* Working knowledge of SAS, R, Python, Java, or other relevant programming languages

* An aptitude for logical analysis, problem identification, and problem solving as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required

* Ability to learn and use computer-based tools and programming languages to implement solutions is required

* Willingness to show initiative and take ownership of job responsibilities

* Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
