STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Safety Investigators in Cincinnati, Ohio!

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for gathering, investigating, and tracking of safety information for airline incidents. SRC investigators will lead incident investigations at the direction of SRC in conjunction with other departments and outside agencies. Technical and comprehensive investigation reports will be prepared and utilized for compensation, policy, and procedure changes.

Job Duties:

* Responsible to properly investigate incidents and accidents below NTSB reportable criteria for the non-punitive purposes of safety and process improvement

* Notify the appropriate company leadership of FAA letters received, voluntary self-disclosures, and inquiries and concerns received from regulators

* Create written reports and presentations for sharing facts gathered in an investigation

* Serve as the formal communications and contact point between Technical Operations, Safety and Regulatory Compliance, and regulatory entities

* Facilitate negotiations between the Federal Aviation Administration and the applicable leaders to establish root-causes and comprehensive fixes to internal failures and improvement opportunities

* Ensure changes to Company documents relating to the resolution of enforcement actions are adequate and processed properly in a timely manner

* Provide regulatory data to other Technical Operations departments in support of their programs

* Assign and monitor actions taken to fulfill regulatory commitments for completion of corrective actions through tracking and management of regulatory commitments

* Participate in the review and analysis of the monthly Company Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) program meetings

* Facilitate the quarterly technical operations safety meetings. Report all safety, regulatory, and company trends identified to senior leadership

* Maintain minutes, reporting, and track follow-ups as applicable

* Solicit and process safety improvement suggestions and assist in developing and maintaining safety awareness

* Maintain an on-call status during off duty hours for the screening of safety related technical operations events

* Accomplish other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Quality or Senior Director, Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Qualifications:

* Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (Preferred)

* Four (4) years’ experience in a 14 CFR Part 121 Air Carrier Quality, Safety, or Maintenance environment (military experience can be used instead of 121 experience)

* A suitable four-year college degree with an emphasis in business, safety, or aviation disciplines

* Must have and be able to demonstrate solid writing and communication skills and must be proficient with computer skills to include being proficient with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel

* Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write, present and defend technical reports

* Thorough working knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations

* Possess and maintain a valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
