Narrative Description:

Reporting to the Regional Manager Finance, Accounts Receivable, the incumbent will be responsible for Accounts Receivables and financial reporting function of a portfolio of countries in the region. She/he must have the ability to work independently in supporting the Manager, Finance with day-to-day activities assigned.

Responsibilities

In charge of reconciliation of daily incoming credit card, bank transfer receipts and apply accurately to respective customer accounts.

Ensure accounts receivable functions are performed in accordance with the Financial Policies Manual (FPM) and the Financial Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Liaise with credit card merchant and banks for inquiry of unidentified transactions or charge backs;

Responsible for hinge reconciliation for various country operations in the region;

Responsible for updating and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register along with CAPEX and related depreciation accounting;

Assist Accounts Payable Team in completing the month end packages for revenue items as well as incoming cash forecasts;

Support other internal departments on all queries raised on collection status and other matters;

Perform month and year end closing in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This includes preparation of reconciliation reports, financial disclosure documents.

Assist internal and external auditor processes and handling queries on all revenue, OTC and AR related items;

Support Manager, Finance on any process improvements projects or initiatives or any ad hoc assignment

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting or relevant field of study. Professional Accounting qualification would be an asset.

Minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant experience; preferably within an international environment;

SAP experience and IFRS knowledge are essentials;

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly demanding environment while meeting tight deadlines;

Ability to set priorities, work with speed with a strong customer focus;

Team work player with good communication skills;

Good analytical skills, sense of pertinent judgment and resolution;

Strong English language skills (verbal and written); and other regional languages would be an asset.
