About the role

This is a permanent part time working in Virgin Australia’s Facilities and Workplace Services team. As the Access and Identification Specialist you will ensure company policies and regulatory compliance is adhered to and in line with the VA group Security Manuals. This is an operationally critical role as you will assist with escalation act as the escalation point for any access risks associated to the greater business. You will also be responsible for:

* Participating in compliance activities including internal audits and investigations

* Managing daily workflows with access control across the network

* Data formation and analysis to understand trends

In addition, you will support the team with risk based assessments, engaging with all areas of the Virgin Australia Group to drive continuous procedural and system improvements.

What you’ll need:

* Previous security exposure & regulatory compliance would be highly regarded.

* Must hold or have the ability to hold an Australian Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

* Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information

* Technical writing skills, including developing and updating operational policy manuals and business case documentation

* Relevant aviation industry or business improvement experience would be advantageous

* Advanced computer skills, including proficient use of the Microsoft suite of applications (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

* Ability to conceptualise ideas, and demonstrated creative / innovative thinking
