Job Title: Logistics Manager

The company has a strong reputation of providing customers with a complete range of solutions including aircraft maintenance & modifications, technical, engineering and design services, logistics and material solutions and international training.

The company provides a range of aviation solutions including Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance, MAA Part 145 Defence Services, CAMO & Technical Services and Part 21 Design Services.

Job Purpose:

The Logistics Manager is responsible for the management and development of the logistics function in line with Company and Regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Function:

  • Develop a strategy plan to improve the delivery of the Stores Function to support Line and Base Maintenance activities.
  • Effective management of the function such that parts and tools are available in line with Company requirements.
  • Carry out and maintain a continuous analysis of stock and tool transfers to maximise best match opportunities for what is held and where.
  • Develop the stores infrastructure to provide an effective stores function better placed to meet the demands of production.
  • Close liaison to be maintained with Planning and Production to ensure effective and timely stores function is delivered.
  • Manage all aspects of the logistics employees including performance, attendance, and engagement
  • Oversee and provide direction to all logistics projects within the organisation
  • Oversee the maintenance of reporting systems and dashboards to track and visualise performance and run weekly and monthly performance reviews with the team to drive improvements.
  • Act as a customer liaison regarding issues and escalations
  • Create bespoke customer support models to improve the communication, performance adherence and customer experience.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Good awareness of Aviation safety.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous extensive experience of a management role within a maintenance environment dealing with a raft of internal and external contacts.
  • Previous extensive experience of aircraft MRO activities within an EASA/CAA environment.
  • Previous experience of managing and developing tools to improve the cost-effective support to the overall operation.
  • Experience in delivery of projects to agreed time and cost constraints
