Zenon are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a MRO based in the Middle East for a Calibration Technician on a permanent basis.

Your job role would be to perform the calibration and maintenance of test equipment in the assigned area (including minor repair and adjustment as required). Maintain computerized and written work records, item registry and contribute to Calibration Centre’s maintenance program.

The Calibration Technician will be responsible for performing tests and measuring equipment calibration on various types and provide analytical support

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To check the physical condition of equipment received for calibration.
  • To hasten the calibration of minor test equipment that can be performed at other locations.
  • To ensure that the procedure is available and valid at the time of calibration.
  • To ensure that the equipment for calibration is prepared as defined by the calibration procedure.
  • To ensure that the standards used are correct as required by the calibration procedure.
  • To ensure that all required information related to calibration activity is adequately available and relevant calibration results.
  • To ensure that the standards used to calibrate is valid.
  • To handle breakdown maintenance of the equipment, as soon as possible.
  • To ensure that the proper records are maintained at all stages of calibration and ensuring validity of test results.
  • To monitor the environment condition regularly and record the same periodically during the calibration activities are carried out.
  • Familiar and well-oriented with Fluke MET/TEAM data base.
  • Ensure all TMDE, mechanical and electrical equipment is registered in the Fluke MET/TEAM data base as well as hard copies.
  • Maintain and review the TME register on a monthly basis.
  • To identify items are due for service/calibration. Where the item is identified as due, ensure a timely dispatch.
  • Maintain a record of all movements of TME.
