In your role, you will:

- Assess partner/supplier weight reports to monitor the weight and center of gravity of the aircraft.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications to estimate weight and balance affect for all proposed Design Change Proposals (DCP’s) and Modsums and support any meetings.
- Maintain DCP and Modsum Weight databases.
- Prepare reports outlining customer weight build up.
- Generate inertia and other mass properties data for the aircraft.
- Analyze aircraft characteristics such as aircraft floatation and fuel migration.
- Perform the actual weight and balance of production aircraft and produce the corresponding weight and balance reports.
- Produce weight and balance load and trim sheets for production test flying for each aircraft, and for ferry flights to Montreal.
- Work closely with and provide Mass properties support to all specialists within Engineering, including Liaison, Design, Stress, Aerodynamics, Avionics, Performance, Tech Publications and others.
- Support Production, Design Engineering, Procurement & Quality in coordinating resolutions to issues and providing Corrective Action involving Engineering.
- Provide support to the Mass Properties Council and the Knowledge Domain initiatives.
- Provide status, updates & keep current on information regarding product evolution.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or related field
- You have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Mass Properties.
- You have knowledge of aircraft structure & system installation technical requirements
- You have good knowledge of Catia (V4 or V5) and MS Office.
- You are an energetic person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a high-pressure partner/supplier team environment.
