Job description

Including but not limited to:

• Overall responsible for leadership of all cabin crew in Norwegian. This includes among other things contribution to the establishment of as well as maintaining compliance, compensation, benefits, employee relations, labor relations and staff development

• Ensure compliance with national and local rules and regulation in the countries where we are operating

• Quality management

• Plan and participate in base meetings in coordination with relevant employer representatives and local HR representatives

• Participate in negotiations with labor unions as well as in the surrounding preparations and follow up

• Contribution to cabin crew recruitment tasks when necessary

• Suggest and evaluate terms and conditions for cabin crew

• Supervise and co-ordinate the activity of planning, administration, cabin safety, and welfare sections for efficient performance

• Responsible for the follow up of regulatory matters and ensuring compliance with related policies and safety practices for Cabin Crew

• Manage the administrative functions and welfare of cabin crew

• Responsible for operating efficiently and coordinated across borders with people as well as cost focus in mind, combining Group and local needs and requirements

• Provide consecutive input to Norwegian’s people strategies and policies

• Main work location preferably at Norwegian HQ at Fornebu

• Travelling must be expected

• This is a newly established role and the relevant candidate will have the possibility to impact on the mandate


• Relevant degree and level qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience

• Experience from the aviation industry, particularly Flight Operations and Inflight Service

• Proven significant experience of managing and developing people across a multi-sited business

• Experience of managing complex and high-profile employee relations issues that present a significant risk to the business

• Demonstrable leadership, change management and people management skills

• Strong negotiation skills and good stakeholder engagement

• Strong analytical and organizational skills as well as the ability to manage competing and rapidly changing priorities

• Proven ability to perform relevant tasks on an operational as well as a strategic level

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence at all levels

• Fluent in English, written and verbal

• Superb teamwork capabilities, including networking, team building and people development

• Ability to work independently/capable of independent decision making

• Strong drive to achieve with a proven ability to deliver results at a strategic and operational level

• Business and solution oriented with a strong commercial awareness
