The Vice President Cabin Operations has the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. Establish and coordinate standardization and optimization of standards and procedures across the departments and units.
  2. Ensure and coordinate the exchange of cabin operations information and experience across the departments and units.
  3. Ensure training and checking of cabin crew members.
  4. Supervise the department managers.
  5. Establish the professional prerequisites for employment, training and upgrading of cabin crew members.
  6. When delegating duties, to ensure that individuals are qualified and competent to conduct the duties assigned to them.
  7. Ensure availability of sufficient cabin crew for supervision and operations.
  8. Supervise the recruitment of cabin crew members.
  9. Ensure that all required cabin crew training and checking activities are conducted in due time.
  10. Coordinate with the Senior Manager Crew Training, to ensure sufficient training personnel are available.
  11. Ensure clarity around priorities and setting performance indicators (KPI) for the Cabin Operations department in accordance with the Company objectives and policies.
  12. Take necessary steps to improve the operational performance of cabin operations department.
  13. Interface with the Senior Management for reporting.
  14. Work with the Senior Management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning.
  15. Assist the EVP&COO in cabin operations matters pertaining to the functions of Nominated Postholder Flight Operations and Crew Training.
  16. Liaise with regulatory authorities, original equipment manufacturers and other external entities relevant to cabin operations.
  17. Ensure that cabin operations activities are performed Operations are conducted in accordance with conditions and restrictions of the Air Operator Certificate (AOC), and in compliance with applicable regulations and Oman Air standards.
  18. Monitor Cabin Crew general welfare and to implement necessary strategies to motivate and increase productivity in coordination with Inflight Services and Flight Operations Administration.
  19. Ensure that cabin operations activities are performed in accordance with the applicable regulations, conditions of the AOC and Oman Air requirements.
  20. Ensure that cabin operations department is prepared for the periodic IATA Operational Safety Audits (IOSA) and other audits conducted by Authorities.
  21. Ensure that the Safety Management System is effectively established within the cabin operations department.
  22. Ensure that the Operations Manual Part E (Cabin Safety Manual) and departmental policy & procedure manuals are revised so that the instructions and information contained therein are kept up to date. Ensure that all cabin operations personnel are made aware of such changes that are relevant to their duties.
  23. Prepare and manage the overall CAPEX, OPEX and Manpower budgeting for the Cabin Operations department.
  24. Assume any additional responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the EVP & COO.


Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 14 years’ experience in related aviation field including 05 years managerial experience in Airline in crew activities area.

 Master’s degree in the related field will be advantage.
