THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD. We are looking for an individual that is a self-starter, organized, and detail oriented. The material cooridinator position compiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas by performing the following duties: Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority. Confers with department supervisors to determine overdue material and parts, and to inform supervisors of material status. Directs warehouse staff to expedite transfer of materials from stock area to production areas. Examines material received, verifies parts numbers, and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts. Compares work ticket specifications to material used at work stations to verify appropriate assignment.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience as a Material Coordinator with working knowledge of NAVAIR supply system, NALCOMIS and OOMA. Must possess experience in the functions required to support aviaiton specific programs including inventory management, material management, storage management and requistioning procedures. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work various shifts to support customer requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and portable stands and navigate these without assistance. Must be able to work in extreme heat/cold.

Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals, odors, dust. Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, balance, push, pull, kneel, grasp, crouch, and crawl, for extended periods of time.

Must be able to stand for sustained periods of time. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as picking, pinching, typing. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

Must be capable of routinely performing industry standard ambidextriosities required to complete tasks. Must be able to lift/ maneuver up to 50 pounds.

ADDITONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Government Secret clearance.

Must maintain the highest ethical personal and professional standards. Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and management instruction.
