Job Description
MAG Aerospace seeks exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as UH-60 Instructor Pilots (IP), Standardization Pilots (SP), Instrument Examiners (IE), Maintenance Test Pilots (MTP), and/or Advisers/Mentors to support Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO) operations worldwide.
Deployments may be in a combat theater of operations, with permissive or hostile environments, while living in austere conditions for extended periods. This is for consideration on any Task Order under the SATMO IDIQ Contract.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Operate aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations, program/corporate policies, and theater procedures
Develop curricula, instruct students in a classroom setting, conduct training flights, determine student proficiency, report on student progress and develop new teaching methods
Responsible for training students in subjects such as aircraft systems, operating procedures, handling emergencies, problem analysis, aircraft navigation, radio operation, aerodynamics and special procedures relating to conduct of operations
Must note and communicate aircraft deficiencies for maintenance review and correction
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience (MUST have to be considered for the position)
Must have professional communications skills for complex internal and external aircraft communications
Must possess a military medical or FAA Class II clearance and be able to meet applicable physical and physiological minimum requirements for the applicable aircraft
Must have past or current designation as a Pilot in the applicable aircraft and at least 1500 total rotary-wing hours, 500 Pilot-in-Command hours, and 100 IP hours of experience in performing duties for operational, ferry, and/or support flights
Must have certificates from a DoD Pilot Training program and/or DoD Transition School for applicable aircraft and qualifications
Be able to meet applicable physical requirements to deploy and work on the applicable aircraft in austere conditions
Must be eligible for a security clearance at the SECRET level, or higher
Must be a US Citizen
Preferred but NOT Required Education and Experience: (NOT necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for the position)
Prior assignment in a US Military rotary-wing flight training organization
Bachelor’s degree from a certified college
Possess a security clearance at the SECRET level, or higher
Prior experience as a flight instructor to international students
US Military Standardization Instructor Pilot or Maintenance Examiner Pilot
Prior OCONUS rotation experience as an IP
