ABOUT THE ROLE
Job purpose:
A vacancy has arisen for an instructor at Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group’s AeroAcademy. Marshall AeroAcademy is an EASA 147 approved training organisation with a growing global database of both Civil and Military customers, delivering technical, regulatory and bespoke training courses as well as ‘soft skill’ and education programmes.
The successful candidate will join an established team of multi-disciplined engineers to work on preparing and delivering technical and non-technical topics to education students, company employee’s, apprentices and external organisations. This is a customer facing role which we see as critical in providing our customers with the best possible training.
You will ideally have strong aircraft maintenance experience of working in a practical aircraft maintenance environment and hold relevant teaching qualifications or strong experience in delivery of aeronautical subjects across both mechanical (B1) and avionic (B2) disciplines.

Key Tasks:
Activities will include the construction of course syllabi, presentation design and the development of training material to meet the relevant aerospace and education standards.
This role will require the applicant to take responsibility for complete work packages, making a significant contribution to the training team’s function and capabilities;
It will provide the opportunity to gain experience across a broad spectrum of activities and the development of technical expertise will be encouraged;

ABOUT YOU
Applicants will ideally have:
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Paint Shop Pro
- Experienced in teaching Part 66 material across both B1 and B2
- A good working knowledge of EASA Part 66, 145 and 147.
- Strong communication, motivational and leadership skills.
- The ability to work on their own initiative.
- Experience of developing and delivering e-learning courses using a virtual learning environment such as Moodle.
- Experience of teaching within a further or higher education environment
- A flexible approach to delivery supporting a broad range of technical and non-technical courses including regulatory training delivery.
- A strong customer focussed approach to delivery of training.
Training will be available to develop instructional capability including both managerial and technical skills as required.
Whilst based at our Cambridge site, the role may occasionally require some national and international travel.
