JOB PURPOSE

 

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.  We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.  For such maintenance training, this role is responsible for the training and mentoring activities in respect to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) employees and is responsible for the timely delivery of serviceable aircraft to meet the flying commitment of 75th Squadron Operations.

 

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Reporting to the Pneudraulics Supervisor, Pneudraulics Systems Technicians assist in the timely delivery of serviceable aircraft to meet the flying commitment.

  • Must possess a sound working knowledge of all Tornado Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems including but not limited to, Hydraulic Power Generation, distribution and control.

  • Will be active in on the job training, either as a primary or secondary trainer, for both RSAF Technicians (OJT) and from time to time Saudi National Civilian Technicians.

  • Will establish a close working relationship with RSAF counterparts at Technician and Supervisor level.

  • As required, deputises for the Section Chief in his absence.

 

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential

  • Must be knowledgeable on Tornado Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems and have extensive Tornado in-Kingdom experience. 

  • Must understand and use the MIRO GOLD Information Technology Maintenance Management System.

  • Must have the confidence and ability to communicate to all levels of staff.

  • Be computer literate and have a good knowledge of the MS Office Suite.

 

Desirable

  • A thorough knowledge of RSAF procedures, directives and manuals, including the

    105/8 the 4/7166/1/1 and 4/7166/1/5  

    including all other supporting maintenance documentation and procedures.   

  • A thorough knowledge of the RSAF 1500 & 1600 series documentation.

  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of the RSAF OJT and RSP.

  • A thorough knowledge of RSAF supply procedures.
