THAAD Software Engineer - 1079229

Position serves as a Software Engineer and
technical expert supporting the Terminal High Altitude Air Defense (THAAD)
Project Office. Provides engineering and technical expertise to government
program/product managers, senior leaders, and action officers concerning THAAD training
devices and support equipment. Provides technical advice, analysis,
assessments, and evaluation of software performance in the development,
procurement, and Operations & Support (O&S) phases of the life cycle to
include improvement of reliability, maintainability, testability, and other
supportability and/or sustaining engineering activities. Supports the THAAD
Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, & Simulations (TADSS) Directorate (THD)
in developing and executing improved training to THAAD units and the Fires Center
of Excellence (FCoE) for TADSS and support equipment via software and hardware
improvements and new development. Provides additional technical advice across
all programmatic disciplines in support of THD requirements to address cost,
schedule, risk, and performance. Develops and analyzes acquisition and program
activities to include acquisition plans/strategies, program/business plans, Life
Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), business/competition strategies, program
management plans, financial management, cost analysis, management techniques,
and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

Demonstrated
ability to
provide on-site materiel
acquisition support on ACAT 1D/C initiatives is required. Demonstrated technical
analysis and other experience relating to DoD and industry programs is required. Demonstrated ability to
provide direct input in
solving issues involving diverse staffs and resources is required. The position requires critical
thinking to address acquisition mandates and warfighter requirements.
Excellent oral and written
communication skills are required.
Extensive background in information technology and application to military
requirements is preferred. Must possess an active Secret security clearance. Requires at least 15 years of technical
software engineering experience.
