Job description

* • The emphasis for this position is to lead the improvements and education of the Safran Landing Systems organization in the areas of carbon/carbon engineering processes and procedures.
* • Lead support and training of Safran Landing Systems manufacturing personnel with the statistical tools necessary to control the preform/textile process.
* • Support capacity analysis and justification for future expansion of the preform workshop.
* • Lead and evolve the Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) for the preform workshop.
* • Implementation of statistical process control (SPC) to critical process parameters.
* • Process and equipment improvements to maximize the productive capacity and textile preform part quality.
* • Responsible for the qualification of equipment and process changes.
* • Recommend and implement changes to materials and processes based on results of experimental evaluations.
* • Interface with manufacturing and maintenance personnel regarding operations of textile equipment, including routine operation, emergency procedures, and safety considerations.
* • Perform other related duties as required

Job requirements

* • Bachelor of Science degree in chemical, materials science, or textile engineering preferred.
* • Three (3) to five (5) years experience in carbon/carbon processing and or non-woven processes desirable.
* • Experience or training in statistical design of experiments and/or statistical analysis of experimental results.
