Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Technician III – 2nd Shift in Burbank, CA.

Under moderate supervision operates a variety of electronic and hydraulic test equipment, frequency recorder, millimeter, voltage tester, X Y recorders, micrometers, calipers, red oil mil-h-83282, and skydrol test benches, related to testing of hydraulic components.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Calibrates electronic equipment.

* Performs preliminary or final functional test on products or subassemblies of hydraulic units or servo valves.

* Works from test procedures, blueprints, and manufacturing outlines.

* Sets up peripheral equipment for monitoring tests such as electronic strip records, x y plotters, servo amplifiers, pressure panels, function generators, electronic flow measuring devices and dielectric equipment.

* Prepares test log sheets indicating test results.

* Works with various hydraulic fluids, water, and dry nitrogen.

* May suggest changes in testing procedures or to equipment.

* Utilizes experience and judgment gained from work as a tester.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* 5 years’ Minimum experience as a tester or equivalent job experience in Hydraulics.

* Must be able to read drawings, MO’s and procedures

* Must be able to successfully pass all company related training modules.

Employment Eligibility Requirement:

* Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and not require Visa sponsorship to be eligible. Because we contract with the US Department of Defense we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Working Conditions:

* Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

* Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

* May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes

* Standing: 20% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

* Sitting: 80% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

* Lifting (in pounds): up to 40 pounds

* Pushing (in pounds): up to 100 pounds

* Mental/Visual: use of microscope and computer

* Workspace: clean bench
