Electronic Systems Segment (ESS) is one of four L3 business segments, and provides a broad range of aerospace systems, security and detection systems, and pilot training.
We are searching for a Test Engineer - Manufacturing for our Power Distribution - Philadelphia location.
Under limited supervision, you will use acquired Electrical Engineering skills to work closely with design and project engineers in the development of: Design for Test; Test Procedures; Test Processes; and Test Fixtures that are comprehensive, efficient and reliable in the effort to maximize efficiency and increase the test yield at the Module and System level.
You will demonstrate success by:
* Working with Engineering in developing the appropriate design for test methodology for new products.
* Developing and validate Automated Test Programs and Test Fixtures, as well as leading the selection of suitable test equipment for the manufacturing test process.
* Coordinating with Engineering and Failure Review Board team in reviewing test failure data and developing methods to continually reduce and eliminate test escapes.
* Writing detailed test procedures needed for manufacturing test.
* Providing training and guidance to manufacturing test group on proper use of test equipment and/or fixtures.
* Compiling Data to justify estimates of labor and material required to satisfy proposal and contract requirements.
* Preparing Engineering Change Request (ECR / EA) as needed to update documentation.
* Performing trouble shooting, rework and/or repair failed test equipment and/or electronic assemblies.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
* BS degree from college or technical school is required. BSEE preferred.
* Must have Zero (0) to four (4) years related experience and/or training as a Test Engineer or technician. Experience in high power applications a plus. DoD contractor test experience desired.
* Familiar in writing and/or creating LabVIEW or equivalent test software for Automated Test Equipment.
* Understanding in the design of electrical and electronic circuits (analog, digital and FPGA) for application in Test Fixture design.
* Knowledge of drawings, parts lists, engineering orders, wiring lists, diagrams, schematics and repair procedures are required.
* Knowledge of related test equipment used to test power and digital systems. A working knowledge of Electro Mechanical components and Electronics is a plus.
* Demonstrated skill in preparation of test procedures, troubleshooting complex electronic systems, and related test engineering tasks to ensure product’s performance meets customer requirements.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
