Electronic Systems Segment (ESS) provides a broad range of aerospace systems, security and detection systems, and pilot training. We are searching for a Test Engineer II in our Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division, located in Plano, TX.

We specialize in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced small Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience. You will be responsible for automated test set design and implementation along with providing engineering support to individual programs. Your focus will be on design for testability leading to automated product testing.

You will demonstrate success by:

* Supporting a comprehensive role of test engineering tasks including requirements analysis, specification generation, interface definition and the design, build, development (both SW and HW), integration, validation and maintenance of product test sets and fixtures

* Working with National Instruments™ toolset environment, including LabView and TestStand

* Participating in all milestone test development reviews as part of the test engineering team, including PDR, CDR, assorted peer reviews and DVT reviews

* Generating and documenting all test set requirements and design verification traceability

* Scheduling, costing, and holding technical responsibility and milestone commitments reporting status to the program cost account manager

* Contributing to the test approach strategy to successfully meet the product test requirements

* Generating test procedures and train factory personnel as required

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Must be a U.S. citizen with an existing DoD clearance with a current 5-year update; must be able to obtain additional clearances as required

* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

* 2-3 years’ experience in product test engineering of automated test set design and implementation

* Familiarity and experience with National Instruments test development environment

* Exposure to latest test equipment and techniques, test software, and data archiving

* Working knowledge of the measurement methods and techniques used in evaluating digital, power and microwave systems

* Problem solving and trouble-shooting complex electrical designs

* PCB design flow exposure, including schematic capture, layout, assembly experience is desired

* Open air RF test and measurement experience is desired

* Background in the defense industry

* Physical requirements include the ability to travel up to 10% and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
