We have a unique and exciting career opportunity for Technician III In Lynnwood, WA.

Test specified portions of products that are generally of a standard and conventional nature. May be assigned specifically to specialized functions. Perform the complete functional and acceptance tests on moderately complex electronic, electro-mechanical or mechanical systems and end items and particularly complex multi-function sub-assemblies. Under close direction, perform more complex testing. Assignments may be on customer-returned units of this same level of complexity

Responsibilities:

* Apply considerable working knowledge of the technical principles as applied in the assigned units to the extent necessary to perform the complete troubleshooting, calibration, identification of needed repairs and other testing necessary to assure all customer requirements for the unit have been met
* Work situations will typically vary and range from routine to new and complex, and may require adapting techniques, methods and procedures
* Perform proficiently and independently on units of the complexity level described above, but may have particular expertise in specific types
* Perform more complex testing or testing on new items under close direction
* Assignments are generally to products that are relatively standard and conventional within the technical discipline involved
* Assignments may be in any Division or product area
* Work is normally performed under general and infrequent supervision and in accordance with generally known procedures, practices and operating plans, but with considerable judgment and interpretation required in application
* Work is typically checked by review of end results against standards as opposed to in-progress checks

Typical Duties:

* Interpret and work in accordance with work orders, drawings and schematics, sketches, catalogs, manuals, and all other applicable engineering and customer specifications, as well as oral instructions
* Setup, adjust, operate and interpret results from standard and special purpose test equipment, applicable to assigned area, such as differential and multi-meters, power supplies, bridges, oscilloscopes, altitude chamber, flow meter, or special tst consoles to simulate in-service condition
* Perform functional tests under applicable environment and operational variables such as temperature, humidity, altitude, and vibration; analyze and test results
* Troubleshoot, diagnose malfunctions, adjust, calibrate, align, and certify assigned units; as applicable, designate repairs for assemblers or others to perform
* Calibrate or otherwise adjust assigned units by such means as component selection, potentiometer adjustment, clocking or other positioning, shimming, tension or coil adjustments, bearing and gear adjustments, as appropriate for specific unit; make required mathematical calculations for voltage, resistance, current, impedance, amplification, mechanical dimensions and adjustments
* Record results of tests in appropriate logs and documents; maintain data on trends or patterns of failures and malfunctions and report to cognizant person
* Identify and correct malfunctions such as defective or improper components, defective solder joints or other short circuits, frequency interference, leakage (liquid/electrical), mechanical interference, wave form and phase variances, hysteresis, load cell variance, out-of-tolerance condition or erratic conditions
* As applicable to assigned area, work with digital and analog circuits, logic circuits, integrated circuits, microprocessors, transducers, amplification, rectification, inductance, signals generated from mechanical components, motors, commutators, vanes, impellers, shafts, bearings, coils, springs
* Conduct customer-witness tests, as applicable

Minimum Requirements:

* Experience: 1+ year experience as a Technician II or equivalent
* Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting techniques, methods and procedures and circuitry or mechanical characteristics as related to area of assignment; and ability to devise and adapt

* Skills:

* Ability to interpret engineering and customer specifications, and schematics as related to area of assignment, and knowledge of military and industry component characteristics
* Ability to quickly learn ELDEC quality and workership standards, and facility capabilities
* Ability to express self effectively, both orally and in writing
* Accurate color vision and depth perception; vision corrected to 20/20
* Ability to understand oral and written instructions related to work and maintain applicable records
* Ability to keep self current in technical field, related to area of assignment
* Education/Certification: AA degree from community college in Electronic or mechanical technology, or equivalent knowledge through experience or other recognized educational institution.
* Eligibility Requirement: Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.

Working Conditions:

* Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, heel straps, and shop coats
