KLM UK Engineering Limited is a leading regional aircraft and narrow body MRO, wholly owned by AFI KLM E&M Network. Services include base maintenance, line maintenance, component sales, technical training and decommissioning of Embraer 170/190, Boeing 737s, Airbus A320s, Fokker 70/100 and BAe146/Avro RJs.

KLM UK Engineering has been based at Norwich International Airport for 40 years and employs approximately 400 people. The Company prides itself on having an experienced and skilled work force, delivering a superior service and high quality product at a competitive price.

We are now recruiting for a Technical Training Instructor to support with our electrical/avionic training requirements.

We would like to hear from you if you have an aviation or teaching background and are eager to use your teaching experience to develop aspiring individuals to gain a career in aviation.

Duties will include the development, preparation and delivery of technical training courses and maintaining a high standard of instruction in accordance with current instructional techniques and procedures.

The successful applicant will have the following:

Essential:

  • Fully trained Electrical/Avionics or a multi-trade/skilled B2 aircraft engineer. 
  • The ability to develop and deliver engaging training for a variety of audiences.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire a group through learning.
  • Communication skills at all levels.
  •  IT literacy with a working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Teaching experience.

Desirable:

·         QLTS/QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.

·         Experience in delivering aircraft maintenance training.

This permanent role is 37.5 hours per week with scheduled preparation and marking time included. Salary is dependent on skills, experience and qualifications.
