The Logistic Department, within the Norwegian Technical Organization is looking for an Operational Purchaser.

Norwegian Air Shuttle is looking for a highly motivated candidate with the ability to work within a demanding, high-paced work environment with a group of passionate and friendly co-workers. We offer an exciting, challenging and educational position in a pleasant environment, which at times can be very hectic. Our candidate will get the chance to plan an important part of the complex world of logistic, within a global company. The role will work as close to support, together with other functions, to the continuous daily operation of Norwegian Air Shuttle and its subsidiaries. We will be located at Fornebu.

The candidate will be part of the Operational Procurement group, in a designated team to support the daily operation.

Job description

• Responsible for short term and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) purchases and acquisitions of materials and services to the department’s internal and external customers.

• Coordinate and monitor purchasing, transport and warehouse operations.

• Be involved with the whole purchase process from requesting quotations, evaluate & placing orders, tracking the shipment and secure receiving process.

• Actively engage and maintaining and development of the departments procedures and routines.

• Contribute to upholding the quality of relative data within the MRO-system.

• Maintain a close working relationship with the Planning Department, Maintenance Operation Center and the Production Planning within the individual internal and external maintenance providers in order to optimize the flow of materials.

• Purchasing of materials includes continuous collaboration with the departments customers, in addition to maintaining current knowledge of products and service available within the supplier base and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience from the aviation field; procurement, AOG desk, operational support etc.

• Experience within freight forwarding, procurement or similar.

• Relevant education within logistics (B.SC. level): Analyses/ procurement/ transportation. Experience may compensate for lack of education.

• Knowledge of the aviation supplier base and supply chain.

• Experience of working in a MRO-system (AMOS).

• Very good communication skills both oral and written in English is essential.

• Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages.

• We also believe that you are a good team player, have excellent communication skills and can work independently.

Prerequisites: Clean criminal record, residence for more than five years in an EU or EFTA state, working permit in Norway.
