Zenon is delighted to be commissioned by one of the UK’s Premier FBO & Maintenance Repair Organisations to source a Technical Liaison Engineer on a permanent basis for their facilities based in Stansted.

As the Technical Liaison Engineer you will provide full lifecycle support of any requests for projects and modifications to the company and to support further company development strategies ensuring the company remain at the forefront of aircraft enhancement solutions.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities:- 

•    Forecast future Industry developments and mandates and to correlate them with to existing OEM solutions  
•    Co-ordinate Part 21 design organisations ensuring that existing solutions are applicable 
•    Co-Ordinate with Part 21 design organisation to determine non-existing solutions working towards providing design packages to support the Sales and Productions teams 
•    Present to the Management and Sales teams commercial opportunities to satisfy customer modification requirements 
•    Support projects for the life cycle (RFQ to completion including commercial review).  
•    Included, but not restricted to, Avionic, Airframe and Interior modification and design projects. 
•    Project management for all modification, enhancements and interior design projects.
•    Provide assistance to sales/commercial to develop quotes for projects falling outside of the standard maintenance packages 
•    Ensuring that the appointed team adhere to financial, commercial and engineering requirements resulting in the desired execution of a project 
•    Liaison with support services for spares procurement, shortage reports, repair and technical information in relation to modification and repair projects. 
•    Facilitate certification pathways for all repairs and modification ensuring that the company meets all applicable regulatory requirements  
•    Understand foreign certification requirements and control compliance in line with our EASA Part 145 approval and Part 21 support.  
•    Constantly seek improvement in all activities to maximize productivity and minimize cost 
•    Any other duties that may be required by the line manager 

Minimum Skills and Experience:-

•    Experience working within a Corporate Aviation Part 145 Organisation 
•    Recognised aircraft related Apprenticeship 
•    Aircraft Modification and repair exposure 
•    Part 66 B1/B2 License with corporate aircraft type ratings 
•    Aviation related degree level qualification coupled with 5 years of working experience within the aviation sector 
•    EASA Part 21 design qualification 
•    Experience working within an EASA Part 21 Organisation 
•    Experience working with other Corporate Aircraft platforms
