The Triumph Aerospace Structures business unit, based in Arlington, TX and representing $1.5B across 7 manufacturing sites, is seeking a Technical Bid Writer/Editor to support successful business development activities. The Technical Bid Writer and Editor will research, gather, organize, write, edit, and produce technical written proposal materials. These materials provide support to proposal and capture managers in the development of business proposals in response to RFIs, public and private solicitations, RFPs, Evaluation Notices (ENs) as well as various operations and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities:

* Write and edit technical copy for large proposal development

* Provide writing support to develop compliant and compelling proposal content that aligns with the Triumph proposal development strategy.

* Prepare written text and coordinate the layout and organization of narrative and graphics incorporated into business proposals, manuals, and other documents according to prepared outlines and specifications.

* Research and interview Subject Matter Experts to understand, develop, document and write technical information in order to develop compelling proposal content and contract requirements.

* Create graphic illustrations, charts, matrices, flow diagrams, and process flow charts for proposals that include requests for graphic artists, write captions, and introduce figures in text.

* Act as Proposal Coordinator to ensure timely inputs are received to support a winning effort as part of the capture team

* Work directly with other proposal managers to create proposal content strategy and structure.

* Evaluate alternatives and make recommendations to internal Business Development team.

* Support document control and formatting, manage proposal archive and past performance, provide general support to the Sr. Proposal Manager.

* Support the Triumph Operating System philosophy by applying results of lessons learned to drive continuous improvement of Triumph Aerospace Structures Business Development processes and tools.

Required Skills, Education and Experience

* BA/BS Degree within a communications or technical discipline.

* Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, presentation, etc.

* Strong proficiency in English language to apply rules of grammar and spelling.

* Demonstrated interpersonal skills and interviewing skills when working with SMEs and technical leads.

* Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office and Page Maker

* 5 or more years in bid and proposal development support, writing, editing, communications, in a Shipley-based proposal development or industry recognized method

* Understanding of bid and proposal best practice, proposal –writing standards, and integrated business acquisitions process

* Excellent editing/proofing, research and analytical skills required

* Deadline oriented with ability organize, prioritize and work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities inside a matrixed environment.

* Strong technical editing and documentation skills

Preferred Skills, Education and Experience

* Advanced degree

* APMP certification

* US-DOD Security Clearance ideal, but not required

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required
