Summary

The Systems Support Engineer (SSE) role is a position with responsibility for providing support for the development, deployment, and continual improvement of PCC Metals Quality-related Information Systems (QIS). Relevant systems include STAR, Tableau Server, ShareKnowledge LMS, SharePoint, and Laboratory systems. These systems are used by QA, laboratories, on the production floor, and by the Commercial, HR, and Finance organizations. It is anticipated that this role can develop into a management-level role for Quality Systems.

Essential Functions

Active support and enhancement of the Tableau Server application. This includes front-line user support and interfacing with PCC Metals IT and Tableau Support. Systems include Tableau Server, Tableau Mobile, Tableau Online, Cloud services, and integration with external platforms such as SQL Server, SAP, and STAR.

Maintain licensing, user access, group enrolments, and system configurations for Tableau Server across PCC Metals.

Administer Quality-related SharePoint sites and acts as Chair of the SharePoint Steering Committee.

Work with end users and PCC Metals IT to provide the highest levels of functionality, reliability, and availability for QIS and QA-related information systems to.

Engage with cross-functional teams comprising QA, Ops, and Finance users to prioritize and manage project level QIS and QA related systems requirements.

Provide system administration for the ShareKnowledge Learning Management System (LMS).

Work directly with PCC laboratory functions to integrate instrumentation with other systems and ensure laboratories meet platform and security requirements.

Serve as a go-to person for Quality Information Systems related matters; serves as an escalation point as needed.

Education/ Experience

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or other Technical/Engineering/Science/Information Technology discipline. 2+ years demonstrated experience supporting and troubleshooting mission-critical software applications. Strong understanding of relational databases, networking, Windows server set-up and administration. Working knowledge of ERP systems, SQL Server, Oracle Databases; SharePoint, and Microsoft business software. Understanding of ISO/AS/Nadcap and other national accreditation or specification requirements related to aerospace or automotive industries is helpful.

Special Skills

Understanding of integrated data systems is essential. Experience with use and support of Tableau Server in an enterprise environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with Tableau Desktop is a plus. Experience in use, support and enhancement of MS SharePoint will also be valuable.
