Job Title: Systems Safety Engineer
Aeropeople have an exciting new permanent opportunity for an experienced systems safety engineer at our prestigious aerospace and defence client based in Cambridgeshire.
Our client specialises in the conversion, modification, maintenance and support of civil and military aircraft, defence vehicle engineering, shelter manufacture, composite solutions and the provision of personnel, training and advice. They are renowned and respected worldwide for their quality of service, engineering excellence, flexibility and reliability.
Through a recent expansion program, they are looking to recruit an experienced Systems safety engineer to join their successful engineering team.
As a Systems safety engineer, you will:
* Provide System Safety guidance to all Engineering staff
* Ensure Safety output conforms to company and regulatory policy
* Promote Safety awareness throughout the design development lifecycle
* Co-ordinate the Safety activities within assigned projects
* Support and promote a positive Safety culture
* Advise the Safety Manager of project Safety related matters
Key Skills/experience:
* Strong knowledge of Design and Safety Management lifecycles and associated System Safety Engineering processes.
* Knowledge of System Safety Assessments.
* Knowledge of Safety argument/Safety case philosophy; risk and goal based methods and Safety analysis tools and techniques including as a minimum FHA, CCA and FTA.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in an aerospace engineering discipline with proven experience in the Safety and Certification of Military and/or Civil aircraft types.
* Familiarity with air domain regulations and guidance including CS25, Defence Standards 00-56, 00-970 and ARP4761.
* Experience with GSN, hazard logs and safety tools.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft office software applications.
