Job Summary

Do you enjoy learning, problem solving and have an interest or passion in aviation or even just electronics in general? This could be the opportunity for you! We are looking for a college student with an interest in systems engineering and software development experience to join our team for the summer. You will work beside experienced system engineers to design, develop and verify avionics solutions for the Business and Regional Avionics market (B&RA).

Come help us ensure that our next generation avionics are safe and ready to be used by thousands of pilots and passengers throughout the world. Working with us, you’ll turn concepts into reality by defining system-level requirements and design, documenting system interfaces, and supporting system level verification. Specifically, you will work alongside talented and experienced engineers to help us create our next verification framework, ensuring our verification procedures are configurable and re-usable. The intern filling this role will gain exposure to the newest Collins aerospace cockpit display technology, and an increased understanding of the avionics system as a whole. To be part of the team, attention to detail, personal drive, and technical and aviation-related curiosity are all a must.

Basic Qualifications

* Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Additional desirable skills a plus:

Pilot or strong desire to learn more about aircraft piloting

Experience with a general purpose scripting languages (Python, Lua, Javascript, etc)
