Job Summary

Rockwell Collins Air Transport Displays Programs is looking for a motivated engineering co-op student to help us create displays solutions that are high quality, reliable and safe. Join our team of engineers designing state-of-the-art, industry-leading flight displays for commercial jet airplanes.

As an engineering co-op in our Air Transport Displays organization, you will be responsible for working with other software and systems engineers to develop avionics display systems used on air transport category airplanes. Projects include the Large Display System used on the Boeing 777X, 787 and 737-MAX airplanes, as well as other commercial Air Transport platforms.

Job Responsibilities

* Developing and executing software and system-level tests for Avionics Display Systems

* Developing software tools to support display system integration, verification and validation

* Working with experienced systems and engineers to troubleshoot and debug systems

Basic Qualifications

* Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

The successful candidate will:

* Be currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

* Have demonstrated problem solving skills and an understanding of engineering principles

* Have experience with at least one programming or scripting language

* In addition to these technical skills, the candidate must be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and must be willing to work with a wide variety of people in a diverse team environment.
