LMUK Ampthill currently has a number of large, complex projects at different stages in their lifecycle across different domains and we are looking for an experienced systems engineer to strengthen the Systems Engineering department. With the opportunity to work across the entire spectrum of systems engineering activities the successful candidate will bring their knowledge and experience of successful systems engineering to make a strong contribution to successful programme delivery across our entire portfolio.

It consists of three business areas focussing on Vehicles, Special Projects and Mission Support, which provide a variety of products and services to the MoD and other customers including the Warrior CSP, Scout and support to the Land Environment Air Picture Provision capability.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Whole lifecycle systems engineering on complex military systems
Use of DOORS for requirements management
Management of supplier sub-system evidence
Change proposal assessment and embodiment
Excellent Technical Author
Development of Cost Estimations for technical work
Experience in formal Verification and Validation activities
Root cause analysis and reporting as part of a DRACAS process
