We have an immediate opening in Toronto, within the In-Service Engineering Department for a Hydro Mechanical Systems Specialist reporting to the Lead of In-Service Engineering Systems. This customer facing position has a direct effect on enhancing dispatch reliability and reducing out of service time of our products. You will be required to work closely with operators, suppliers and various cross-functional departments. Your main area of expertise should include, but not be limited to, Hydraulics, Fuel Control Systems, Flight Controls and Landing Gear Systems.

In your role, you will:

- Ability to deliver under pressure of AOG conditions; troubleshooting assistance, action plans and technical solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and solutions for in-service issues related to overall product safety, reliability and maintainability.
- Conduct and coordinate redesign investigations, root cause analyses and corrective actions of fleet issues, which may lead to procedural and/or product changes.
- Conduct trend monitoring and reliability analysis.
- Manage technical requests to meet committed turnaround times / customer requirements.
- Create deliverables such as In-Service Modsums, All Operator Messages, Service Letters, Concession Support Letters, Reference Instruction Letters, In Service Activity Reports and other fleet communications.
- Prepare reports and communication packages to support customer meetings, conferences, working groups and other initiatives.
- Provide on-site assistance at operators’ facilities as required.
- Build on cooperative working relationships with internal departments, external partners, suppliers and vendors.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have an Engineering degree or AME license or equivalent relevant experience.
- You have a minimum of five (5) years aviation manufacturing, vendor or airline experience.
- You have knowledge of Bombardier Aerospace Engineering drawing system and standards, Technical Publications and internal processes.
- You have customer focus and strong communications skills are essential.
- You have strong computer skills.
- You can take short notice travel assignments and have flexible working hours.
- Q-Series experience is a definite asset.
