Moog Engineers are challenged with: * Meeting demanding performance requirements * Designing safety critical systems * Delivering systems that will perform to expectations in harsh environments If this excites you then read on… As the Systems Engineer in the Test Equipment department within AG, you are responsible for the development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical, hydromechanical, mechanical and electropneumatic test systems that will be used to test products of Moog, Inc. You’ll plan and conduct efforts requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. At Moog, our Systems Engineers devise new approaches for various problems encountered. Here’s what to expect on a day to day basis: * Key contributor to the requirements development, analysis, conceptual design, development, and testing of complex control hardware used in test equipment for aircraft actuators * Operate as part of a design/development team, which includes other Department engineers, with your primary focus being System or Component performance and integration * Coordinate the work of Drafters, Technicians, Design Analysts, Engineers and others who assist in specific assignments as needed * Consult with customers, establish the problem statement, conceive of potential hardware solutions to the problem, often through extensive trade studies, and then create a successful technical proposal * Guide the evolution of the requirements and the conceptual design, technical project planning, detail design, and development testing To be considered for this position you’ll need the following: * Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of Design / Development Engineering experience. Alternatively, PhD or Master’s Degree and 3+ years of Design / Development Engineering experience * Test Equipment and System Testing experience preferred * Experience with cross-functional Engineering Development teams * Seasoned knowledge of closed-loop control systems and mechanical hardware designs * Strong communication skills with self-starting instincts and strong analytical skills * Requires occasional travel and the organization of presentations to customers Due to certain military programs, US citizenship is required.
