Job Description

CACI is seeking a Systems Engineer in support of US Army PEO C3T Project Manager Mission Command’s PdM FSC2 program office. Specifically, focus will be on the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) – both the legacy version and the V7.0 modernized version.

What You’ll Get to Do:

* You will develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule for AFATDS and other PdM FSC2 programs.
* You will coordinate various activities between PdM FSC2 and the AFATDS developer.
* You will develop and review new software requirements planned for incorporation into AFATDS.
* You will represent PdM FSC2 at test events for new AFATDS software deliveries.
* You will develop Technical Bulletins (TBs) to communicate critical information to AFATDS uses regarding system behavior and performance
* You will participate at test events at the Aberdeen Proving Ground Mission Command Test and Integration Facility to validate software functionality and/or assess engineering releases of the AFATDS software
* You will coordinate AFATDS program activities with the PM MC Technical Management Division

More About the Role:

AFATDS is the system employed by the US Army and US Marine Corps to provide automated support for planning, coordinating, controlling and executing fires. Legacy versions of AFATDS are currently fielded and a modernization is underway. This position will support incremental changes to the legacy version of AFATDS as well as the modernization effort. Travel up to 25% may be required in support of test events, meeting with developers, and meeting with stakeholders.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

* US Citizenship, active DoD Secret clearance and ability to maintain clearance required
* Bachelor’s Degree in Systems or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience OR an Associate’s Degree and at least 7 years of experience OR no degree and at least 9 years of experience.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* Experience and knowledge of PM Mission Command, in particular, Field Artillery systems and Fire Control and Support
* Strong communications ability in order to support the communication of complex technical concepts as well as programmatic and non-technical subject matter (i.e. program schedules or high-level requirements)
* Ability to Brief small groups
