Systems Engineer Position Overview:

We are looking for a System Engineer to join our team. Will perform activities which consist of the synthesis, definition, analysis, development and integration & test of electro-optic systems for airborne, ground, and maritime surveillance systems.

Systems Engineer Performance Objectives:

*

Understands and implements systems engineering processes on programs and projects.

*

Creates and updates essential engineering documents including specifications, reports, plans, technical memos, and presentations.

*

Analyzes and investigates systems engineering tasks.

*

Coordinates with other functional engineers to develop and test products and resolve compatibility and interface problems with other subsystems.

*

Interfaces with other departments to participate in specification, design, and test reviews.

*

Supports ISO quality system by assisting in the development of quality system documentation as required.

*

Follows internal process to ensure proper conformance to established policies and procedures.

*

Follows and contributes to improvement of the product development process.

*

Provides timely production support and problem resolution.

*

Produces timely status reports.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Education:

*

B.S. Degree in engineering or physical science or equivalent combination of education and experience. M.S. Degree preferred. New grads welcome to apply.

*

The ability to become expert in at least 1 of the following areas and develop basic capability in the other areas:

*

Requirements management, allocation and flow downs.

*

System-level performance analysis (e.g., image analysis, thermal analysis, structural analysis, end-to-end performance, reliability analysis).

*

Hardware integration and troubleshooting.

*

System detail design and development.

*

System-level requirements verification including analysis, testing, demonstration.

*

Qualification test planning and execution.

*

System processes (e.g., reliability, safety).

*

Complex prototype product support (installation, trouble-shooting, customer interface).

*

Prototype product development.

*

A basic understanding of engineering tools such as MathCAD, Matlab, Mathematica, LabVIEW, Excel, etc.

*

Strong technical, mechanical and geo-spatial comprehension skills.

*

Must be a US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR.

*

Pre-employment drug screening and background checks are standard.
