Support Engineer

Shorterm Group are working with a market leader in Aerospace who require a Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised qualification within Engineering or Metal Finishing (to HND/HNC level or apprenticeship trained) or possess significant experience in lean improvement techniques.

Responsibilities:
- To act as the technical focal point.
- To support the lean sigma initiatives in a support capacity using appropriate lean tools and principles.
- Delivery of the technical training and support within the value stream, including technical review outputs.
- Value stream audit responsibility
- Project management focused on improvement
- Cover for laboratory checks/tests, process conformance and when required carry out specific hands on tasks.
- Coordination of activity with other green belts within the project.

Candidate requirements:
- High attention to detail.
- Comprehensive product and process knowledge.
- Effective organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage personal workloads
- A leader of chance through sigma initiatives
- Strong communication skills
- A thorough understanding and pragmatic application of applicable process, procedures and compliances.
- Adopt a flexible approach whilst not being afraid to challenge the norm.
