Are you an experienced Stress Engineer looking for your next contract? Do you have composites and airframe experience?

ProTech Recruitment are currently working with a modern and fast growing engineering company who are seeking an experienced Stress Engineer on a contract basis to lead the new project they have just taken on. The successful Stress Engineer will be responsible for all the design and stress analysis as well as being customer facing. This role is on a 3 month+ contract.

Stress Engineer Requirements:

  • The Stress Engineer will have previous experience of analysing composite structures
  • As a Stress Engineer you will have a good working knowledge of Nastran and Patran, if you also have SolidWorks or Catia experience this would be advantageous
  • Broad knowledge of the manufacturing processes used to produce different airframe configurations
  • Knowledge and experience in the design, development and qualification of airframes and vehicle systems

Stress Engineer Responsibilities:

  • As an experienced Stress Engineer you will be responsible for the stress analysis of the composite structures
  • The Stress Engineer will be analysing the Fatigue and Damage Tolerances on the Airframe Structures
  • To provide solutions to meet airworthiness standards and design approvals
  • Produce structural or systems documentation including requirements specifications, safety documentation, qualification reports, stress reports and STRs
