Job Role:
The Purchasing & Supply Chain Department (TCP) is responsible to manage the purchasing of aircraft spare parts as well as the material inventory and to ensure efficient and timely delivery of all aircraft materials and services to the maintenance organization by ensuring most economical conditions.
A small team within the department is responsible to manage all relevant strategic procurement aspects.
In order to strengthen the focus on Lufthansa Group-synergies and on overall cost reduction of the component and material supply, we are looking for a Strategic Purchaser who will be tasked to evaluate, negotiate and implement contracts with various material and service suppliers.
Your Duties
* Development of relevant aircraft material supply strategy, prioritization and implementation
* Analysis of supplier market and evaluation of market opportunities or alternate sources
* Management of all commercial and sourcing aspects of assigned aircraft material categories incl. tendering and negotiations
* Implementation and operational hand-over of new contracts incl. establishment of procedure manuals
* Ensuring purchasing governance and guideline adherence for procurement of technical services
* Supplier performance management and improvement initiatives incl. escalation of operational purchasing topics
* Supporting annual budgeting process for all relevant material categories
* Follow up on actual costs including cost review and invoice approval
* Sourcing and tendering coordination within Lufthansa Group incl. support for procurement projects
* Management of contract parameters in relevant data base and update of Lufthansa Group procurement tools
* Evaluating and driving new supply concepts and make use of digitalization opportunities
* Supporting strategic procurement projects across the commercial division
Requirements
* University/FH degree in Business Administration
* Additional Procurement/Supply Chain degree/diploma as an advantage
* At least 5 years working experience in Procurement, preferably in the Aviation environment
* Proven negotiation skills and convincing personality
* Very structured and analytical person with conceptual skills
* Sound financial knowledge
* Good technical understanding and/or high affinity to technical environment
* Established interpersonal skills and flexible team player
* Highly self-motivated person with sound achievement attitude and persistence
* Very good MS office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Fluency in English and German with strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
