Strategic Planning Specialist Contract till Jan 2019

Department: Inflight Service Delivery

Reports to: Strategic Planning Manager - Inflight Services

This role will be responsible for conducting researches and analysis to explore issues and opportunities to improve the department and the crew community with objectives to reduce costs, increase productivity and enhance services for both Cathay Pacific (CX) and Cathay Dragon (KA).

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct simulation and data modelling to support long-term strategic projects and union negotiation, as well as to review basing strategy

* Perform ad-hoc analysis relating to policy review, manpower or resources and costs

* Perform data analysis, and collaborate with IT or Insight team to introduce data analytics or visualisation tools to support efficient decision making

* Participate in projects to improve budgeting, planning, monitoring or rostering

* Produce monthly cabin crew utilisation and productive figure to Finance department

* Prepare average crew block hour in 12 rolling months to Finance department

* Process monthly salary payment

Requirements

* University Degree or at least matriculation level

* 3 to 5 years relevant work experience in airline industry

* In-depth understanding of both CX and KA rostering and manpower

* Strong strategic ability with excellent analytical skills and interpretation of figures

* Strong modelling/simulation knowledge and skills

* Leadership, planning and interpersonal skills
