Staff Project Engineer

Moog Aircraft Group in Fort Worth, TX is looking for a Staff level Project Engineer to be responsible
for the development of, and playing a major role in the selling of complex
electrohydraulic, electromechanical, and electropneumatic components and
systems that will become the new products of Moog, Inc. The Staff Project
Engineer provides technical leadership and makes authoritative decisions and/or
recommendations on demanding and major projects. The Staff Project Engineer
independently and skillfully devises new approaches for the problems
encountered and plans and coordinates the work of others

What you’ll be working
on day to day:

* Develop new product requirements through
consulting with customers and sales personnel.
* Validate conceptual problem solutions by
performing trade studies and analyses.
* Prepare successful proposal designs, cost
estimates, and shoulder the responsibility for writing technical volume.
* Provide effective, compassionate project
leadership to a team of creative, independent individuals.
* Independently initiate and perform specialized
research.
* Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its
technical reputation.
* Create reliable designs through a comprehensive
experimental development test program.
* Document designs, analyses, and test results
with accurate and concise reports.
* Consult on new product and market development
efforts.
* Assist in interviewing, training, and
counseling junior engineers.

What you’ll need to
bring with you:

* BS degree in Engineering (advanced
degree preferred)
* Depth of understanding
achieved through experience in the design, analysis, and development of complex
electrohydraulic, electromechanical, or electropneumatic servomechanisms.
* Proven record of successful
development programs working as a part of a project team.
