Job Summary:

Under limited supervision and with moderate latitude in assignment perform ASIC design work developing a GPS receiver System on a Chip (SoC). The job requires the ownership of subsystems of the ASIC including design and verification along with traceability to requirements. A knowledge of ASIC design and verification process from requirements specifications, ASIC design, ASIC verification testing, Requirements Review, Design Review, Release to Floor Planning, Release to Layout, and Release to Mask signoff is a requirement. Knowledge of Cadence Palladium and GPS signal processing is a plus.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience :

• Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Eight to ten years experience with ASIC/FPGA Design for MSEE or BSEE; two to five years with Doctorate degree.
• Applicants should have experience with VHDL/Verilog coding for ASICs or CPLD/FPGA designs.
• Experience with bring-up and debug of prototype ASIC/FPGA in a lab environment is required.
• Direct experience with GPS receiver design is a plus.
• Experience with data processing (ARM architecture/AMBA Bus), integration, and validation techniques associated with GPS receivers, GPS receiver signal processing, GPS theory, signals in space, security and anti-jam techniques are desired.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Candidate must have ability to successfully interact with other Engineering disciplines including Systems Engineering, FPGA/ASIC developers, ASIC foundry engineers for back-end design and Software engineering functions.
• Capable of working in a team environment along with the ability to work independently with minimal.
• Some weekends and evenings will be required.

Special Requirements: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to DoD classified information.
