Job Summary

Would you like to be the MAXimum TPM that you can be? Join the Air Transport Systems Engineering department as a Sr. Systems Engineer and fulfill the role of the 737 MAX Display System (MDS) Technical Project Manager (TPM). We are looking for a highly-motivated, team-empowering leader who is excited to join the 737 MAX engineering team and support a product that has over 4,000 orders from airlines and will be producing 57 aircraft per month by the end of 2019.

The individual filling this position will require previous project management experience or extensive experience with leading cross-functional project teams. The 737 MAX TPM will require the ability to work effectively with Program Management, SW/HW Engineering, and Operations. Additionally, a high level understanding of Air Transport aircraft systems or Display systems would be greatly beneficial.

Job Responsibilities

Sr. Systems Engineer / TPM responsibilities and accountabilities include:

* The TPM has the primary execution responsibility to ensure the project meets the technical and certification requirements, remains on schedule, and stays within the budget constraints.

* Present information effectively to external and internal leaders of varying levels and anticipate possible questions

* Lead and coordinate program level cost estimates during the bid cycle using the EER process.

* Develop and maintain program-level schedules for projects as the project executes.

* Anticipates problems and, if necessary, proactively revises project plans as permitted by policy and project requirements.

* Create and manage risks/opportunities and mitigation plans.

* Coordinate engineering input into the project’s financial forecast and variance analysis.

* Support DPC-2120 and DCP-2120 Collateral through field and factory support and coordinate with cognizant hardware engineers.

* Coach the PEs and leads on the project to think big, take action, and help others succeed.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

* Previous Technical Project Management (TPM) and/or Project Engineering (PE) experience

This position requires the commitment of professional working hours that may require the employee to extend beyond a typical 7:30 am to 4:30 pm workday, or beyond a 40 hour work week.
