Job Summary

This position is to support and develop the Airbus A350 XWB IMO (Information Management On-board) system. This position will be responsible for building RC A350 IMO as the most reliable, responsive, and trusted product and team for our Airbus and airline customers. The effects of your decisions are long-lasting and influence the future adoption and growth of the A350 IMO solution.

Job Responsibilities

* This engineer’s primary role will be to act as a ScrumMaster, and secondarily as a systems engineer, writing requirements, testing and integrating the system as priorities dictate.

* In addition to these tasks, this engineer could be called upon to support fielded products as and when they are returned from the customer. This would consist of contributing to determining root cause for customer returned goods.

* This position will act as the ScrumMaster for one of our IMO engineering teams, using SAFe, tailored for Rockwell Collins, and further tailored for team success. This position will be interacting with RC Cedar Rapids teammates, RC France teammates, and RC IDC teammates.

* This position is responsible for the expected ScrumMaster tasks as called out in SAFe and tailored for the IMO team, maintaining awareness of project status and regularly reporting that status and progress against the plan to A350 IMO project leadership.

* This position is expected to build team camaraderie, develop proactive and innovative solutions to project team problems encountered, and build engagement in the engineers involved in delivering IMO solutions.

* Additional responsibilities may include:

* Leading or contributing to engineering bids

* Participating in systems requirements generation and validation

* Participating in system testing and completion of certification documentation

* Functional integration testing

* Installation and certification support

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

* Previous experience as a Scrum Master is required.

* Organization – Plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.

* Quality – a passion toward meeting and exceeding our customer’s product quality expectations

* Analysis – Seeks support and input from key team members to support an in-depth analysis of a problem.

* Coordinating – Works tirelessly with team members to ensure that all aspects of a task are covered appropriately

* Dependability – Exerts consistent effort to provide quality results that are focused on the bottom-line

* Judgment – Able to make quick and well-informed decisions that improve the quality of the IMO product

* Resolving Conflict – Deals firmly and appropriately with conflict resolution in any situation.

* Strong technical communication and writing skills.

* Demonstrated commitment to learning, following, teaching and reinforcing established Engineering processes.

* Demonstrated knowledge of Rockwell Collins systems engineering and requirements development processes.

* Must have demonstrated team leadership skills.

* Ability to work with both on-shore, off-shore, RCI, and contract engineers

* Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, excellent interpersonal skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.
