We are searching for a dynamic Sr. Systems Engineer to join our team in Sylmar, CA.
The selected candidate will perform system and subsystem integration; technical risk assessments; technical planning; verification and validation; and supportability and effectiveness analyses of total systems throughout the system lifecycle. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept; design; fabrication; test; installation; operation; maintenance and disposal. Performs functional analysis; timeline analysis; detail trade studies; requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Work with either US or International government organizations to develop concepts, programs, and requirements for complex, large-scale, multi-sensor/weapon engineering projects such as Complex ASW Sonar and Acoustic Systems, Command and Control Systems and/or large-scale Surveillance/Response Systems.
Develop or lead engineering teams to develop system specifications, performance specifications, software specifications and interface specifications for large-scale systems.
Lead development efforts from System Concept through Prototype to First Article Subsystem or System sell-off.

Qualifications
Key success factors:

Self-motivating, initiative, and successful leadership experience.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment and be a significant individual contributor.
Experience technically managing large subcontractor efforts for subsystems or software.
Ability to communicate system engineering concepts and issues to company/corporate executives and work with them to formulate technical and cost-effective approaches to large-scale systems.
Skills Required/Sought:
Broad experience of military systems -- familiarity with ASW systems, MIW systems, sensors systems, weapon systems, combat systems and/or command and control systems.
Experience with large scale environmental and EMI/EMC formal system qualification.
Experience with system requirement decomposition, synthesis and linking using DOORS (or equivalent).
Experience with large software development efforts, either as a lead system engineer, software development lead or system integration lead.
Education/Experience Required/Sought:
BS Degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering; MS. preferred
Systems/Acoustics/Sonar experience preferred
At least 10 years of directly related experience required
