Our Space & Defense Group in East Aurora, NY is hiring for a Senior
Project Engineer.
This
position is responsible for development of, and assisting in the selling of complex
electrohydraulic, electromechanical, hydromechanical and electropneumatic
components and systems that will become the new products of Moog, Inc. The
incumbent plans and conducts efforts requiring judgment in the independent
evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard
and nonstandard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. The Senior
Project Engineer independently devises new approaches for the problems
encountered and plans and coordinates the work of others.
Senior Project Engineer job duties include…
*
Develop new product requirements through consulting with customers
and sales personnel.
*
Establish and monitor engineering project budgets and schedules.
*
Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies
and analyses.
*
Prepare successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and shoulder
the responsibility for writing the technical volume.
*
Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent
individuals.
*
Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical
reputation.
*
Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental
development test program.
*
Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and
concise reports.
*
Consult on new product and market development efforts.
*
Assist in interviewing, training, and counseling junior engineers.
*
When applicable supervise subordinate engineers and
project/product engineering technicians
Minimum Requirements to be considered…
*
Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software or Systems Engineering.
*
10 years of progressive experience in the field of Engineering at MOOG is preferred. Equivalent years of experience outside of Moog will be considered.
*
Experience in the design, analysis, and development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical, or electropneumatic servomechanisms.
*
Must have a proven record of successful development and production programs working as a part of a project team.
