Our Space & Defense Group East Aurora, NY is hiring for a Sr. Product Engineering Technician.
The Senior Engineering Technicians job is to complete assigned production product responsibilities working under the general supervision of the Product Engineering Manager. Product responsibilities will normally be limited to the sustaining Engineering effort associated with established production programs but may also include Product Engineering cognizance of standard product line models from Prototype transfer thru the production phase. Product assignments typically will be of the Engineering level assigned to Assistant Product Engineers.
Sr. Product Engineering Technician Assignments Include...
*
Planning and performing Engineering tests;
*
Data reduction and preparation of Engineering reports associated with assigned models;
*
Preparation of Production Assembly/Test documentation including worksheets;
*
Engineering Instructions, Customer Acceptance Test Procedures, etc., always to the approval of the Product Engineering Manager;
*
Product Engineering MRB representation on assigned models;
*
Instructing and assisting Production Forepersons and Technicians in methods of Assembly and Test, use of equipment and instrumentation and diagnosis and rework of all test failures;
*
Monitoring Assembly/Test producibility of assigned products and instituting producibility improvements;
*
Maintaining technical liaison with Customer Engineering; and
*
Occasional technical supervision of Engineering Technicians in completing specific assignments.
Minimum Requirements to be considered…
*
Equivalent of a two year Associate Engineering Certificate and a minimum of three years Production of Prototype Test Technician experience along with a minimum of two years’ experience as a Product Engineering Technician; or as an alternate requirement, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering as an entry level position.
