Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Analyst (QA) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Annapolis Junction, MD.

The successful candidate will provide Leadership, Process Improvement/Affordability, Supplier and Quality Analyst, Risk Management, and customer engagement in significant pursuits for the Operating Unit.

The Quality Analyst role requires regular interaction and strong communication skills and reports directly to the NSS BU MA Manager. This position provides support to large complex programs dealing with numerous suppliers.

Responsibilities will include an understanding and monitoring of the Operating Unit QMS (Quality Management System), facilitation of Gate Reviews, driving execution of Operating Unit affordability enhancements and process improvements, performance monitoring, analysis and achievement of non-financial and sector-specific goals allocated to MA. The position requires the ability to understand the area of Supplier Quality Analyst, which includes Supplier Assessments, development and execution of RTG plans when needed. The person filling this position will be expected to engage with the program to evaluate, investigate, and remediate program issues, and provide oversight of program risk management activities. The successful candidate will also be required to provide situational awareness of organizational performance as well as using the independent reporting chain when appropriate if/when the situation arises to bring immediate attention and awareness to program execution issues. This independent reporting chain requires strong maturity to understand the appropriate times and be able to identify events that warrant escalation.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

Develop, maintain, analyze and report comprehensive quality performance metrics to track and report program performance trends.

*

Develop, maintain, analyze and report comprehensive quality performance metrics to track and report trends impacting program performance;

*

Support program performance reporting through regular and ad-hoc stoplight and dashboard reports, Program Management Reviews and customer standup meetings;

*

Conduct and report objective evaluations of performed processes, work products (including deliverables) and services;

*

Identify and implement program risk strategies to identify, mitigate and handle potential program performance risks.

*

Review reporting data in support of the corrective action, causal analysis, and resolution activities.

*

Ensure controls are operating as intended to provide insight into the effectiveness of control processes and to identify process improvement opportunities.

*

Support program management with objective insight into the establishment and performance of appropriate levels of management control to ensure the quality of products and services delivered.

*

Review and verify that product acceptance criteria are clear, unambiguous, and achievable within program constraints to support the delivery of quality work products.





Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

*

Bachelors degree and ten (10)+ years related experience in Systems Engineering, Quality Assurance, Process Engineering/Improvement, and/or Project Management; OR fourteen (14)+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.

*

Demonstrated skills in accordance with the MA competency model, and advanced knowledge of the NGMS Quality Management System.

*

A solid understanding of risk management, process improvement, defect prevention, introduction of best practices and will be able to provide oversight to the program in applying these techniques to help solve complex program issues.

*

A general knowledge of systems / software engineering lifecycle processes, IT service management and understand how they should be applied.

*

The successful candidate will possess demonstrated leadership abilities, excellent communication (oral and writing) skills, and a track record of working collaboratively with project personnel.

*

Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with FS Polygraph.

Demonstrated knowledge of system and software development methodologies and practices.

The successful candidate will have the ability to provide and work on complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative.

Conduct cost-benefit analysis and root-cause analysis to identify lessons learned, monitor corrective actions and implementation of improvements, and report progress towards the realization of anticipated benefits/objectives

*

Performing analysis of process and procedural requirements and established controls; document outcomes and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and quality

*

Conducting compliance audits to ensure adherence to contract and corporate program requirements; identify corrective actions for any deficiencies and track and report progress towards completion.

*

Participate in various program and project meetings and reviews including monthly program management reviews (PMR).
