Job Summary

The M&P Engineer in the Printed Circuit Design Services team will coordinate and communicate work demand forecast and project status of design activity for highly complex circuit card assemblies (CCAs) for use in highly reliable aviation and communication equipment. This individual will be responsible for the successful coordination of work in process for cost and schedule and ensuring the successful application of design processes and standards across multiple locations. This individual will need a strong familiarity with PWB fabrication and Circuit Card Assembly processing and reliability.

The M&P Engineer will work in close collaboration with Printed Circuit Designers, Product Development Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Configuration Management and other enterprise organizations to deliver optimal design solutions and will assist in the enhancement of streamlined product development processes.

Job Responsibilities

* Provides project management expertise for single intermediate-sized or several smaller projects.

* Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates functional department activities to achieve cost, schedule, and performance requirements.

* Prepares communications to enterprise customers on the design & development work in process.

* Identifies and communicates risks to project schedule and or technical success.

* Participates with project team to ensure the utilization of appropriate solutions to meet the customer’s requirements.

* Interface with PC Designers, Quality Check Team, and ECAD Library Team to assist in optimal design solutions which are manufacturable, reliable, and meet design to cost targets

* Frequent inter-organizational and customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

* Has prime responsibility for CCA design project schedule and cost.

* Takes all possible actions to avoid or minimize problem areas. Anticipates problems and if necessary, revises project plans as permitted by policy and project requirements.

* Projects may span multiple locations and subcontractors as required.

* Plans, schedules, coordinates and statuses work within the department.

* Supervises project(s) and/or the unit work force.

* Presents proposals, status reports, Estimates at Completion (EAC) and customer status to Leadership, project team and customer community, customer negotiation/interface.

* May estimate, review and/or approve costs.

* Operates according to Company policies.

* Demonstrates ability to assimilate information from various sources and make decisions affecting tasks, work assignments and technical dependencies.

* Able to communicate effectively with all levels of company and customers.

* Demonstrated leadership skills.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required.

Three or more years of experience.
