Job Summary

Collins Aerospace Mission Systems Engineering is seeking a talented individual to join the Electrical Engineering department and help us create the next generation of Strategic Communications. The task requires proven experience in the area of developing and upgrading systems in military platforms. This position is intended to provide additional capability to a diverse development team.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have proven experience developing and supporting products for military airborne platforms including, but not limited to:

*

Design of military communications and other related products

*

Providing guidance to other engineers in various disciplines

*

Working directly with customers in order to develop robust and appropriate product requirements

*

Support the design and qualification of Military communications systems, assist in installation, diagnostics and qualification of systems in aircraft and in SIL locations

*

Assisting in the development of products with emphasis on installation considerations, life-cycle management and manufacturability

Basic Qualifications

*

Extensive experience developing products and systems for military aircraft

*

Experience in RF support and development with the ability to define and troubleshoot systems including HF and VHF bands. VLF experience is helpful.

*

PCB design of low-noise power supplies and analog circuits, timing circuits, processor and FPGA systems

*

Knowledge of analysis tools including MATLAB and SPICE

*

Proven experience working with development and manufacturing teams, vendors and other suppliers to build cost-effective solutions.

*

Experience working with customers to define requirements and identify potential aircraft installation issues during project design phases.

*

An active clearance is strongly desired, ability to obtain a clearance is required

*

US Citizenship required

*

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

*

Ability to travel up to 5%
